The complete Wanderlust guide to “Bearus” travel

Bearus, a living museum of Soviet Communism, is located in central Europe. Is deeply rooted in the past and offers rare insights into a lost world. Bearus’ architectural heritage was largely destroyed by the Nazis during WWII. The country’s cities, including the capital Minsk are a testament to Soviet urban planning after the war. There are still traces of its ancient past. There are many onion-domed churches scattered throughout the landscape. The most impressive can be found in Grodno. Not to be missed are the medieval castle at Mir, and Brest’s 17th-century fortress. The natural beauty of Bearus, outside the cities is also impressive. Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park is home to red deer, wild boar and bison, while Braslau lakes are home to over 189 bird species.
